Where you’re planted determines how much you grow. In this post, I want to emphasize the importance of where you find yourself planted. I learned a valuable lesson about this a few years ago when my wife and I changed all the landscaping in our yard. We planted new shrubs across the front of our house and along the side of our house. The ones that were planted across the front have done well. The ones planted along the side of the house have not done that well. The difference between the two is where they’re planted. The ones along the front get plenty of sunlight, while the ones along the side don’t get that much sun. It seems that whatever gets exposed to the sun does better. I think we could say the same thing about our spiritual lives. Whatever gets exposed to the Son does better!
Scripture says the key to being fruitful is found in where you plant yourself.
The key to flourishing for the long haul is that you must plant yourself in the house of the Lord. When you’re not rooted in the house of the Lord you will dry up and wither. When you’re planted, you become resilient like a palm tree. Palm trees are often found in places that can survive hurricanes and strong winds. They’re often bent, but they’re not easily broken. I think that’s what the Lord wants for your life.
The key to true vitality is to stay planted. You might be bent, but you won’t be broken!

After all the plagues were over, they were being pushed out by the Egyptians. In actuality, the Egyptians were begging them to leave. At first,
